Chemical peeling

Chemical peeling – controlled chemical damage to certain layers of the epidermis and / or dermis. As a result, in addition to the inflammatory reaction that develops in the dermis and epidermis, activation of the protective and regenerative mechanisms. Stimulatory effect is mediated by chemical peeling. It starts with the natural process of healing, tissue regeneration of the epidermis and dermis, in completion of which the skin is rejuvenated.

Main indications for peeling:

  • display aging of skin (wrinkles, violation of the skin microrelief)
  • problem skin (acne, rosacea, seborrheic and actinic keratomas, ichthyosis, dermatoxerasia)
  • scars post-acne and scars of another etiology (atrophic, labor trophic and hypertrophic)
  • hyperpigmentation of various etiology

Formation and defects of the skin, for which used chemical peels, depending on the depth and location:

  • at the level of the epidermis: freckles, chloasma, neoplasms, flat warts
  • at the level of the epidermis and papillary dermis: chloasma, hyperpigmentation, fine wrinkles and superficial scars
  • So, the depth of influence is chosen depending on the evidence

Classification of chemical peels, depending on the depth of influence:

  • superficial (damage within the horny layer)
  • median (impact on the entire depth of the epidermis without damaging the basement membrane)
  • deep (impact on the entire depth of the epidermis with partial or total damage of basement membrane)

Types of chemical peeling

Superficial peelings

Superficial peelings don't need rehabilitation, they have no strict restrictions by season, provided the use of sunscreens, there are no complications with the correct use. Superficial peelings except peeling effect on the level of horny layer of the epidermis has also a direct stimulatory effect on cells as the epidermis and dermis. Superficial peelings are designed not only for surface polishing of the epidermis, but also for therapeutic effects: changes in skin sensitivity, acne treatment, photo-aging, biological aging, preparing for more aggressive influences etc.

Indications to superficial peeling:

  • acne
  • seborhea
  • hyperpigmentation
  • keratosis (including ichthyosis)
  • signs of skin withering
  • burrowing hair
  • stretch marks (striae)

Median peelings

Median peelings need rehabilitation (home regime of about 1 week) are seasonal from October to April, and may be complications in the form of pigmentation in the observation of a client's incorrect behavior. Median peeling carried medications with a pronounced keratolytic effect and has no other significant effects on skin cells. The stimulatory effect is mediated by and dependent on the depth of damage and skin reactions. To median peeling is very important biological resource of the skin and its ability to properly repair.

The median peeling intended for chemical skin polishing at the thorny layer of the epidermis, as well as comprehensive programs in conjunction with superficial glycolic peel.

Indications for the median peeling:

  • age-related changhes of the skin
  • keratosis
  • hyperpigmentation
  • Striae and scares

Deep peelings

Deep peelings due to the fact that they remove the entire epidermis, and involve the upper layers of the dermis demand a strict home or clinical treatment within 14 days, have a strong seasonal - from October to April, of the possible complications - pigmentation disorders, borderline, prolonged flushing of the face, scars in the incorrect behavior of the client. So deep peelings are carried out under strict indications and strictly stationary care.

In the centre "Aura" superficial and medial peelings are carried out with medications «Fitodzhen» (Italy) and «Martinex» (Russia).

Doctors-cosmetologists of centre "Aura" offer to you next chemical peeling-systems:

  • allergic dermatitis (eczema, atopic dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, etc.)
  • long stay on sun or in the solarium (within 2 weeks before peeling)
  • collagenoses

week after traumatic cosmetic treatments (epilation)

  • poor wound healing in history
  • taking immunosuppressive drugs
  • state after radiotherapy with a atrophic skin changes
  • mental disorders

Effectiveness of chemical peeling

Effects of chemical peeling depends on the depth of skin damage. With increasing depth grows efficiency, and at the
same time increases the frequency of possible complications. It is the depth of injury determines the duration of the rehabilitation period, the probability and severity of complications.

The depth of of chemical peeling is chosen according to:

  • state of the patient's skin (thickness, density of skin appendages (sebaceous and sweat glands, hair follicles), the characteristics of the wound healing
  • use of topical and systemic drugs
  • localization zone of intended impact
  • type of chemical agent and its concentration, pH and the form of peeling damage
  • technology and the number of applications
  • quality of patient skin preparation: preparation before peeling
  • additional ingredients of peeling

The protocol of the chemical peeling

Carrying out any chemical peeling assumes the existence of three stages:

  • procedure of peeling

So chemical peelings - a system of three interconnected stages:

  • preparation before peeling – means for home care
  • procedure of chemical peeling – office procedure
  • after peeling care – means for home care
